Chicken Keema Paratha Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Dough:

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Water as needed

For the Filling:

  • 200 grams chicken mince (keema)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon oil for cooking the filling
  • Ghee or oil for cooking the parathas

Instructions:

Prepare the Dough:

In a bowl, mix the whole wheat flour and salt. Stir in water gradually and knead into a soft dough. After 20 minutes, cover and let it rest.

Prepare the Chicken Filling:

Heat oil in a pan. Sprinkle in the cumin seeds and watch them pop.

Chop the onions and cook them until they get golden brown.

Add ginger-garlic paste, green chili, and sauté for a minute.

Add the chicken mince, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the chicken is done and the mixture is dry.

Stir in garam masala and chopped coriander leaves. Allow the mixture to cool.

Assemble the Parathas:

Divide the dough and chicken filling into equal portions.

Part of the dough should be rolled out into a tiny circle. A part of the chicken filling should be placed in the center.

Pinch the dough's edges together to seal them after folding them over the filling.

Gently roll out the filled dough into a flat paratha.

Cook the Parathas:

Heat a tawa (griddle) and cook the paratha on both sides with a little ghee or oil until golden brown and cooked through.

Repeat with the remaining dough and filling.

Serve:

Serve hot with yogurt, chutney, or a salad.

Benefits of Chicken Keema Paratha for Weight Loss:

  • Protein-Packed: The chicken mince offers a high-protein, low-fat filling, which helps with muscle maintenance and satiety.
